    I Saved my Vacuum’s Life

Not too long ago, my Hoover vacuum died. And today, I was almost certain that the new eureka! was going to face the same fate.

To be honest, I wasn’t even too unhappy about it, as I really hate the thing. I don’t think it’s good for anything other than cleaning up pet hair (which it does quite well), but as far as regular vacuuming goes, it does a lot of pushing things around, and shooting the stuff it’s supposed to be sucking up out and all over the place. It takes far too long to clean up any type of normal mess. I wouldn’t mind a replacement. But then again, I would have been on to vacuum number 3, in under a year  because of toy invasion.

Anyway, I guess Iron Man was on some legit exploration mission today because he managed to get caught up in my “purple spitter.”

And I mean, he was really lodged in there. I thought we were going to have to get rid of both the toy and this vacuum…

After about 15 minutes of wiggling and pulling and twisting the red super hero, I was pretty content to just leave him in there.

But the food on the floor behind him was bothering me.

So I worked a bit harder a few minutes more, and managed to pry him out, and get my floor fairly clean. I don’t like carpet. I never really feel like it’s truly clean. Eventually I want to lay down hardwood floors, but I’m saving that post for another day.

    Happy vacuuming!

    Death of a Hoover

For some strange reason, my son likes to stick tiny toys into electronic devices. DVD players, my mother’s VCRs, and vacuum cleaners seem to be his preference.

Recently, I discovered a few Power Ranger weapons in various parts of my vacuum.

So this is what I did:

Then I alternated between my fingers and tweezers to pull them all out.

I was happy, so I put everything back together, plugged it up, and tried to vacuum the floor…but then it went “POP!”

Unfortunately, there were little toys in the suction hose, and something stuck in the filter that I wasn’t aware of…although the little one was able to tell me what all he put in, and where he put everything.

I did manage to get everything out, but my little green Hoover is no more. I tried to fix it, but it just over heats and doesn’t pick anything up.

It sucks that it’s broken though. I actually really liked my little Hoover. What do you even do with a broken vacuum?

By the way, I’m really enjoying Mimosa by Chanel. I usually stick to pinks, nudes and reds for my nails, but this one is a winner. I think it’s a limited edition color, so if you happen to love it, you may want to grab one while you can!

Anyhow, what I really want is the Dyson Animal.

But it’s expensive, and I’m worried that I’ll spend almost $600 on a vacuum that really doesn’t do anything different than what my $130 Hoover did. It would be awsome if there were a place where you could go to test it out before you buy it…but then again, the fact that it’s a tester means that the quality is probably diminished due to use that isn’t quite typical…and now I’m just being a nerd….

I guess that’s all for now. Talk to you in the next one!
