    Tales of a Traveling Bookcase

Mr. Lack-a-like has been busy over the course of this month. He and I had been having a bit of a difficult time trying to determine where he would live. So over the past few weeks, he’s traveled to various parts of the house in an effort to find his semi-permanent home.

I think the issue began when I pushed my experiment up next to him…

In my defense though, as handsome as I think he is, the wall looked a little naked with him sitting there all by himself.

At any rate, his travelling began. His first stop was my bedroom. I had an empty corner that was unoccupied, so I let him stay there. But after the third day, he had to go.

And since my bedside table is being used in my bedroom, I let Mr. Lack-a-like try his hand at holding down the entryway.

But he was much too tall and skinny to do the job to my liking,

so his wandering continued. We were giving up hope, and were on our way back to where we started when he suggested the empty wall in the kitchen.

It wasn’t the worst stop on his journey, but I have other plans for that particular spot.

In the end, we found a home for poor Mr. Lack-a-like,

    right in between my desk,

and the Kivik (which is about due for a new cover).

In the end, both I and Mr. Lack-a-like were pleased with his new home.

And that is all for now. Talk to you in the next one!
