Chanel Spring 2012–First Impressions
It isn’t even winter yet, and the spring beauty collections are already popping up on my radar. I decided to pick up a few things from the Chanel collection since I was already doing a bit of Christmas shopping, and I thought the blush might sell out.
I only picked up the blush, a nail polish, and an eyeshadow but I think I want to get a few more bits. I’ll probably go back and pick up May nail polish at some point, but for now, I am content.
My UPS guy has been delivering my packages later in the evening, so there was no daylight left by the time these arrived, but I couldn’t wait to play in it all, so please excuse the yellow cast of my bedroom lights.
I thougt all of the nail colors were pretty, but I thought I had something similar to June, and May...I was on the fence about, but April stood out to me...so as of today, that is the only one that I decided to add to my collection.
I got one of the eyeshadows. I passed on the pink and just went with Tigerlily.
It’s a sparkly orange.
I also got the blush. I usually pass on Chanel face products because they aren’t always brown girl friendly, but I thought I’d be able to pull this one off…we shall see.
I finally picked up Jade Rose. I’ve wanted it since it came out, I just never checked out with it in my cart. Whenever I shop online, I remove a few things that aren’t at the top of my wishlist, and this one always got cut.
Anyway, when I looked at it, I thought it was similar to my Safari Beige by Dior, but it is more pink with bright pink shimmer.
Gris Equis is another product that I’ve wanted for a while, that always gets cut when I check out, but I’m glad I got it. It’s a gorgeous matte grey.
And last but not least, I bought the little kabuki brush. I needed a kabuki. I only have the NARS Botan brush, and it’s just too big sometimes.
This one is indeed smaller.
I will do more comparison shots, swatches and reviews later…during the day when it’s bright outside.
That’s all for now. Talk to you in the next one!
Oh, did you get anything from the collection?
