A minor Deconstruction
The day after Christmas, I went to the Goodwill and picked up a few picture frames. Initially I was going to spray them all black like I did the others I picked up the time before this one…but I’m thinking with the way things are going in my bedroom, I’ll leave them gold.
Even the actual art in the frames is fine with me. The only problem I have is with the strange pink and green band on the mats. They had to be removed in order to be altered…and that took a bit of effort.
And I couldn’t undo this knot, so I just left it there.
I cut away the back with my pocket knife, then pulled up the sharp metal prongs that held everything in place, and removed all of the insides.
Then my little one decided to wear the mat.
Which for the moment is fine. I haven’t quite decided on a proper remedy, but I do know that it will involve some kind of painting…that pink is atrocious! I don’t mind the idea of the embellishing though.
Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your day! And as always, thanks for stopping by!
