    A minor Deconstruction

The day after Christmas, I went to the Goodwill and picked up a few picture frames. Initially I was going to spray them all black like I did the others I picked up the time before this one…but I’m thinking with the way things are going in my bedroom, I’ll leave them gold.

Even the actual art in the frames is fine with me. The only problem I have is with the strange pink and green band on the mats. They had to be removed in order to be altered…and that took a bit of effort.

And I couldn’t undo this knot, so I just left it there.

I cut away the back with my pocket knife, then pulled up the sharp metal prongs that held everything in place, and removed all of the insides. P2033211

Then my little one decided to wear the mat.

Which for the moment is fine. I haven’t quite decided on a proper remedy, but I do know that it will involve some kind of painting…that pink is atrocious! I don’t mind the idea of the embellishing though.

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your day! And as always, thanks for stopping by!

Cleaning up is never as nice as it is once it’s all up and decorated. I finally took down my tree today. But since my little one destroyed the box, I have to find something big enough to contain it all.

I hope your weekend is going better than mine.Winking smile

    Take care!

Slim Chair Dupe at Target? Nope.

I was browsing Target the other day when I picked up my new bookcase, and I came across a couple of chairs that bear an uncanny resemblance IMG_0134

to the ones I currently have at my  dining table. However, since I spotted them at Target, I wouldn’t imagine they would have the same price point.

However the price was nowhere to be found. So I looked online. I found a similar option here, and you get a set of 2 for under $65,

but then I found the espresso ones here for only $30 each. They seem to be more on par with the ones I saw at Ikea a while back, similar in the way they feel…when you knock on them, they sound hollow.

But the ones from C2 B2 are plastic and, in my opinion, of much better quality.

They seem like decent seats though if you’re in the market for affordable seating. Talk to you in the next one!
