    Harry Potter’s Final Movie

I’ve been re-reading the Harry Potter books in preparation for the final film. I can’t even describe how excited I am about the second part of the last movie, and I’m really looking forward to July 15th!

I was 11 when the first book was released, and 12 when I actually began reading it. I loved all of the books, and still do. Book 7 is my favorite, although it is a bit bloody and filled with death. I hope the movie doesn’t disappoint.

    These trailers are awesome though.

Each time I’ve seen one of the movies upon first release, I’ve always left the theater a little disappointed because the books are so rich, and the movies leave so much out. But watching the movies together, one after the other, they’re good, and create a nice little story on their own. Although I hated the way Part 1 ended, I think I would have been much more disappointed if both parts had been combined and cut to feature film length. I think 2 parts will do the series justice, and close it out nicely.

Now, I’m not one to deny the fact that I am a bit of nerd, but the Harry Potter brand has been a part of my life for over a decade, and is now part of my son’s. So as excited as I am for the grand finale, it is bitter sweet.

But then, there’s always the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...

What about you? HP fan or could you totally care less? Excited for the film? I’m bursting at the seams! July 15th can’t come soon enough.

    < excited,>
